The .SE country-code top-level domain was started in 1986 and given to Sweden. During the first years after its establishment, the registration procedure was very restrictive, so a very low number of domains were obtained. Individuals were allowed to purchase solely one domain under .PP.SE (“pp” stands for “private person”).
