A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux cloud hosting service with us and you wish to activate the catch-all feature for a given e-mailbox that you have in your account, it’ll take literally only a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in your account. You can choose one address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once again will deactivate the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary note and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting service with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the mailboxes that you set up using any domain name hosted in the account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you will be able to deactivate the feature, in case you no longer need it. Our system will let you know in case you are trying to activate a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a given domain name or if there’s active email forwarding, but it will never modify or deactivate any feature automatically and without your consent.
